The Antonian Wild Game Dinner began in 1973 when a group of fathers and sons got together to BBQ. This quickly migrated to a group of Alumni cooking wild game to save on food costs. During this time, the event was male-only. After the school went coed, the event was opened up to everyone.
Initially, the proceeds of the event went to help keep the school open in the lean years of the 1980s, providing teachers' salaries, a water heater, a pool retrofit, and basically fixing anything that was broken. As the student population grew in the early 1990’s, the Wild Game Dinner bought new lights for the football field – prior to this, most football games were played on Saturday afternoons.
In 2000, the Antonian Wild Game Dinner, a 501(c)(3) organization, was formed and officially separated from the Alumni group. 100% of our donations go to Antonian.
Since the school has prospered recently and tuition has gone up, now the majority of the money goes to scholarship funds for students.

The purpose of Antonian Wild Game Scholarship Dinner, Inc. is to establish and maintain scholarship funding programs to assist worthy and needy students and make it possible for them to attend and complete their course of study at Antonian College Preparatory High School.
